Delete your Kickoff account

You can read this page without signing in. It is the same page inside the Kickoff Android app. Developer: Tinker and Scribe Workshop Inc., 1146 Route 895, Elgin, NB E4Z 2M3, Canada.

Delete in the app

  1. Sign in to Kickoff.
  2. Open Account.
  3. Find Delete account and household data.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm: type DELETE.
  5. Choose Delete my account.

That request runs immediately for the signed-in person only. The button stays disabled until the box says DELETE. Signed-in people can also start from the Account page.

Or ask by email

Email chris@tinkerandscribe.com from the email address on the account. Use the subject Delete my Kickoff account. We confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.

Deleting a whole club

Email chris@tinkerandscribe.com from a club admin's account email address. Use the subject Delete our Kickoff club. We will confirm the request with another club admin before acting, when the club has one. We delete the club within 30 days and email the requesting admin at the address on their Kickoff account when it is done. Season invoices and registration payment records stay as tax and accounting records, and Stripe keeps its own payment records.

What is deleted

These lists are for deleting one account. One person leaving does not delete the club, its chat, or its schedule. Deleting a whole club is a separate request.

  • Your account profile (name and email) and the sign-in record.
  • Login sessions and linked sign-in methods for that account.
  • Password-reset verification rows for that email.
  • Your membership roles and privilege hats.
  • Poll votes you cast, and your chat read and mute state.
  • Household rows whose guardian email is this account, except the shared demo households kept for the sample league.
  • Player profiles linked to those households, and the attendance rows for those players.
  • Registration forms you submitted. An email-only form is removed only when it is not a shared demo seed guardian.
  • Unredeemed facility invites you created, your facility join-code attempt logs, and pilot checklist marks you made.
  • Chat block-list entries that involve this account, and chat reports this account filed.

What is anonymized and kept

  • When one account is deleted, chat message text stays in the room. Your name on those messages becomes “Deleted user” and your user id is cleared.
  • Announcements, carpool posts, polls, and schedule notes you wrote stay for the club, with your name or id replaced or cleared.
  • Outbound message content tied to a household that was deleted is cleared, and the recipient label becomes “Deleted recipient”.

What is kept

  • Payment records held by Stripe. Kickoff does not store card numbers.
  • Season invoices and other records the club or Tinker and Scribe Workshop Inc. keeps for accounting and payment disputes. Your user id is cleared from those rows.
  • When one account is deleted, shared bookings, schedules, scores, and the facility organization stay. One person leaving does not delete a club or a facility.
  • Players, households, attendance, and fixtures a club organizer keeps for the league when they are not your own household.
  • Chat reports other people filed. The message stays, with your name removed if you were the author.
  • The shared sample league is not wiped for everyone else.
